Say kids! Does your spam from Russia look like the title of this post? Do you wish you could read it, then delete it, instead of simply deleting it? Well you can! All you have to do is look at the code near the top of your email. If it says

charset=windows-1251

then choose Cyrillic (Windows) from the View | Encoding | More menu. If it says

charset=koi8-r

then choose Cyrillic (KOI8-R). Now the subject line has changed from "Ïðèâåò, Êîíñòàíòèí" into the ever-more-legible "Привет, Константин" and you can say, "Привет yourself, spammer! My name isn't Константин." . . . or you could just delete it.
