Hey, am I being hit on?
Twice tonight men have struck up conversations with me and offered to go with me to Taksim Square to buy me a beer. Both of them mentioned gay bars as the best places to hang out. I told them both no, FYI.
What began as a travel blog has turned into a random journal of law school and other experiences, and a "bully pulpit" for commenting on the world around me. Comments welcome.

As a concerned friend, don't allow yourself to be led anywhere by any men or women or children no matter how cute they think you are. Your family and friends think you are plenty cute and want you back safely in the states. Okay, now that I given you my safety lecture...
It sounds like you are putting together quite a collection of experiences. It sounds like there have been a couple of unexpecteds, both good and bad, but these occasions will be what makes for the stories and memories you will carry with you into the future. Keep us posted. I know I find your excerpts to be very entertaining, even if you are not having fun with all ofyour stories, I am.:) They are great! Take care of yourself, and be safe!

I agree with MajorDad, I think you're a real cutie and we both know gays bars are fun, but I know I wouldn't be following strangers into one. You're an Englishman in New York - don't forget it! I miss you and expect you back in one piece.
About the little girl, maybe that's where the chocolate would have come in handy, huh?

Wow, you're getting some serious commentary on your new blog.
You know, they have gay bars here in the States, too. I had thought you'd stick out like a sore thumb as an obvious American. Apparently, that's not the only vibe you're giving off. :o)
